Fighting Hunger Together: Our Initiatives to End Food Insecurity
Feeding Our Neighbors
Our food security efforts, in partnership with Woodland Acres Elementary School, Feeding Northeast Florida, and The Community Foundation of Northeast Florida, aim to combat food insecurity through multiple initiatives. We provide essential food resources in three key locations: The Arlington Market Pantry, the I.M.P.A.C.T. Dream Center Community Pantry, and the on-campus pantry at Woodland Acres Elementary.
The Arlington Market Pantry serves guests of all ages, ethnicities, and languages, with no income or geographical restrictions. Distributions take place on the first and third Saturday of each month from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM by appointment only. Guests must arrive in a vehicle, bring proof of their appointment, and remain in their car while volunteers load food packages into the trunk. This drive-thru distribution is held at Impact Christian Academy at the Regency Mall.
The I.M.P.A.C.T. Dream Center Community Pantry primarily serves residents of the Woodland Acres community, welcoming guests of all ages, ethnicities, and languages. Distributions occur on the second and fourth Saturday of each month from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, also by appointment only. Guests must bring proof of registration before entering the I.M.P.A.C.T. Dream Center to receive food items.
The Woodland Acres Elementary Family Resource Room Pantry is dedicated to ensuring that students and their families have access to food right on campus. This on-site pantry provides immediate assistance to those in need, reinforcing our commitment to fighting hunger within the school community. In addition, we serve families at Woodland Acres Elementary School on the third Friday of each month during the school year, ensuring ongoing food support for students and their households.
